Scholarship Applicant Instructions

A complete application consists of the 2008 Scholarship Application Form plus other documents as detailed in the Submissions Checklist.  Only complete applications will be considered for awards.  The NFB Scholarship Committee takes no responsibility for notifying you if required information is missing from your application.  If a question does not apply to you, type NA for Not Applicable. 

Deadline:  All required documents must be received by the Scholarship Committee no later than 5:00 p.m. eastern daylight time, March 31, 2008.

Contact the chairman for a print application form: call his office at (404) 371-1000 (Atlanta, Georgia), e-mail to scholarships@nfb.org, or print out a copy here:

Fill out and return the print application form by mail with all required documents to the NFB Scholarship Committee before the deadline.  Add additional pages if you do not have enough room for your written answers.  See the Submissions Checklist to complete your application.

ONLINE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FORM

If you wish to complete the application form online, you must have an e-mail address.

We require one print copy of this form as a cover letter with the other required documents as listed in the Submissions Checklist.  Upon pressing the Submit button at the end of the online form, a copy will be sent to the e-mail address you provided in the contact section.  You may make print copies of the document in your mailbox.  This is how it works:

1. Fill in the blanks on the online form: 2008 NFB Scholarship Application Form.  Fill in every space.  If a question does not apply to you, type NA for Not Applicable.  You may return to earlier questions and change your answers as often as you wish until you press the Submit button at the end of the form.

2. SUBMIT BUTTON:  Press the SUBMIT button at the end of the application form to enter your answers into the Scholarship Database.  Once you have pressed this button, your answers cannot be changed and you cannot return to this page.   One exception:  If necessary, you may request a change to your contact information at any time by e-mailing your new data to scholarships@nfb.org. 

3. CONFIRMATION PAGE:  Shortly after pressing the Submit button, the Confirmation Page will appear on your computer and the form with your answers will automatically be e-mailed to the e-mail address you’ve supplied in the contact section.    A link to the Submissions Checklist of required documents is at the end of the Confirmation Page.  Once you leave the Confirmation page you cannot return to it.  (A link to the Scholarships Home page is available at the end of the Submissions Checklist.)
