National Federation of the Blind in Computer Science

The National Federation of the Blind in Computer Science (NFBCS) is a division of the National Federation of the Blind composed of blind computer professionals and other blind people who have an interest in or regularly use computer technology.

NFBCS members work together to develop strategies that enable blind people to use and manipulate computers more efficiently and competitively. Also, NFBCS acts as a force to influence the development of screen reading systems that enable blind persons to operate computers without sight. Meetings of the organization are held annually during conventions of the National Federation of the Blind.
