Straight Talk About Vision Loss    
       
In this Web-based video series, the executive
        director of the NFB Jernigan Institute discusses issues surrounding
        blindness and vision loss.

Where the Blind Work
        If you've ever wondered about the types of jobs blind people have
        or wonder about the type of career you'd like to have, be sure to
        visit our Where the Blind Work pages.

Textbooks on Time
       The most recent amendments to IDEA include provisions intended to
       assure that blind elementary and high school students receive their
       textbooks at the same time as their sighted peers. The NFB wants parents
       and students to understand the law and to share their successes and trials
       in receiving the textbooks on time.

The National Center for the Blind: Thirty Years of History in Baltimore   
      
This video documents the history of the National Federation of the Blind's
       headquarters after moving to Baltimore, Maryland, in 1978. 

A Tribute to Dr. Betsy Zaborowski
        On January 27, 2008, the NFB hosted a memorial service to celebrate the 
        life and legacy of the Jernigan Institute's first executive director, 
        Betsy Zaborowski.

The National Center for Blind Youth in Science   
       
This clearinghouse of information and resources regarding blind youth and
        science, technology, engineering, and math was launched in 2005.  It is a
        valuable resource for parents, teachers, and blind youth alike!
